Director of Marketing
Summary
Join Revant’s Leadership Team as our next Director of Marketing and help shape the future of an ambitious, mission-driven brand. Reporting directly to our General Manager, Cody Schmitz, you will lead a skilled marketing team to elevate our replacement lens business, expand the reach of Revant Sunglasses, and deepen our connection with people who want to keep their favorite frames in play. This role is your chance to turn the powerful product story developed by our Founder and CEO, Jason Bolt, into broader awareness and real impact by reducing plastic waste and helping customers extend the life of their eyewear. You will also help continue to guide the next chapter of Revant’s evolution as we continue to design our own frames, intentionally crafted with bio-based plastics and a deep commitment to sustainability. This is a high-visibility leadership role where brand building, smart growth, and purpose all come together.
This role currently manages the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and Social Media Manager, with indirect oversight of Graphic Design. This role will also be responsible for managing agency relationships that augment and interact with the in-house Marketing team.
Essential Functions
Leadership, Strategy & Budget
- Develop and lead Revant’s holistic growth marketing strategy across brand, performance, lifecycle, and retention, ensuring alignment with company goals and consumer trends
- Create and manage the marketing budget to maximize efficiency, traffic generation, and ROI across channels and campaigns
- Establish and Communicate clear KPIs across all marketing initiatives that guide team success, inform strategic decisions, and continuously optimize team efforts.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team across brand, performance, and content functions—setting clear goals, roles, and development paths.
- Oversees external agency partnerships to optimize performance and ensure alignment with budget.
- Leads development of annual revenue forecasts and projections for new product launches
Brand & Content
- Own brand positioning and messaging, acting as the steward of Revant’s voice, tone, and visual identity across all customer touchpoints.
- Translate customer and market research into actionable insights, internalizing target personas to guide messaging, creative, and campaign decisions.
- Provides strategic oversight and direction for content initiatives, partnering closely with the Content & Social Media Manager and external creators to ensure cohesive, on-brand asset development.
GTM, Channel Execution & Retention
- Lead go-to-market planning for product launches and seasonal campaigns, partnering cross-functionally with Product, Ecommerce, Creative, and CX teams.
- Oversee full-funnel execution across paid, owned, and earned channels—including email, content, social, influencer, PR, and affiliate.
- Shape and maintain the promotional calendar, ensuring strategic timing, cohesive messaging, and seamless execution across channels.
- Drive customer loyalty and retention through collaboration with Lifecycle and CX partners, leveraging data to increase lifetime value.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally in DTC and ecommerce
- Proven success leading awareness driving initiatives across paid, organic, influencer, and content driven channels
- Demonstrated ability to lead and scale high-performing teams
- Familiarity with brand development, customer segmentation, and retention strategies
- Track record of launching new products and scaling omni-channel campaigns
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Ecommerce, and Customer Experience
- Strong background in agency/vendor management and contract negotiation
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and marketing spend optimization
- Demonstrated success in customer acquisition and retention with measurable impact
- Experience identifying and opening new revenue channels

Revant offers a competitive compensation package including:
- Base salary range of $125,000 - $135,000 per year (dependent upon experience)

Work Environment – Hybrid (Tuesdays and Wednesdays in office)
While working remotely, you’ll need a dedicated, distraction-free space to remain present and productive. In addition to two standard in-office days per week, additional in-office time may be required for key meetings or collaborative projects.
When onsite at our office in the Pearl, employees are expected to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, which may require wearing safety glasses and closed-toe shoes in designated areas.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for occasional office-related tasks
- Frequent use of computer and office equipment (keyboard, monitor, phone)
- Occasional movement around the office, including reaching for supplies or equipment
- Manual dexterity for handling paperwork and operating standard office tools
Travel
Potential for 2–3 weeks of travel per year for conferences, vendor meetings, or strategic planning.
